Apostolos Thomadakis
Dr Apostolos Thomadakis is a Research Fellow at the European Capital Markets Institute (ECMI), an independent think tank run by CEPS’ Financial Markets and Institutions Unit. His work focuses on issues related to capital markets, financial markets and services, financial and securities regulation. He has completed many research projects on derivatives, access to capital, SMEs financing, CMU, financial instruments, financial services and regulation for European institutions and associations. Prior to joining ECMI, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Bank of Lithuania (BoL) and the Austrian National Bank (OeNB), while he worked for the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Central Bank (ECB). Apostolos has held academic positions at the University of Warwick, London School of Economics, University of Bath, and the University of Surrey. He holds a PhD from the University of Surrey.
