Karel Lannoo is Chief Executive of the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) since 2000. CEPS is one of the leading independent European think tanks, with a strong reputation in policy research. He is specialised in financial markets regulation, economic governance, single market issues and his recent publications cover EU health care sector policy, anti-money laundering and crypto-currency regulation. Karel is a regular speaker at hearings of EU, national and international institutions and in executive programmes, as well as a participant in studies for national and multilateral organisations. He writes regularly op-eds and appears in media (FT, WSJ, Le Monde, Bloomberg, NRC, Financieel Dagblad, De Tijd, etc.). Finally, Karel is a member of company, foundation boards and advisory councils.
