Veronica Anghel, PhD, is an assistant professor at the Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies, European University Institute. Her research focuses on the challenges to European integration and enlargement. She co-leads the 'EU Enlargement Hub', a cooperative research and capacity-building initiative between the EUI, the CEU Democracy Institute, and the Kyiv School of Economics. The project aims to research the lessons learned from the EU's enlargement phases to transfer into policies recommendations for Ukraine and beyond. Previously, Dr. Anghel held positions at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Stanford University, the Institute for Human Sciences Vienna and others.
